Cardionyl

Description

The blue monofilament polyamide thread is used particularly for reconstructions and is one of the threads of the “Carpenter School”. It is distinguished by excellent tear resistance.

Distinctive properties

Due to its minimal memory effect and its optimized tear resistance, Cardionyl is suitable for thorax wall replacement, diaphragm repair but obviously also for cardiac surgical valve reconstructions, incisions of homographs, intracardial paediatric reconstructions as well as interventions on the beating heart.

Due to its perfect knotting, fewer knots suffice than is normally the case. Due to its minimal memory effect, the thread lies flat, is soft and without any trauma even through fragile tissue. These properties are supplemented by the highest degree of tear resistance and the combination with high quality needles.
